Archery / Crossbow

A great team leveller, as the team members try the ancient art of archery. Under the close supervision of our expert instructors, all will be shown the techniques to succeed. After a practice session the competition begins, either as teams or individuals. The rounds get harder as they progress, with the target faces reducing in size with each successive round.

Abseiling

Having scaled the heights of the mountain, it is now time to descend. Team members will have to have faith in themselves, as they lean back over the edge, before beginning their descent. Our fully trained instructors will be with them every inch of the way, ensuring their safety at all times. An amazing experience, where confidence can be increased very quickly.

Rock Climbing

Your team members have to make their way up the nearly vertical slope, to reach the summit. There are easier routes, and more difficult routes, as they plot and plan their next moves. Our instructors are there to provide all the necessary safety equipment, and give help and advice throughout the session. With our portable climbing equipment we can bring the rock face to you.

Mountain Biking

We combine the focused team challenge within the orienteering format. Teams will have to use a range of skills and strengths to successfully navigate, and complete the course. Good communication skills and working as a unit are essential for the team to successfully complete this task, along with coaching and helping other members. Timed trials can be included for a more competitive team competition.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Laser Clay shooting is an activity that can be enjoyed by everyone. Players use the shotguns to fire at real clays released from a clay launcher. If the team member is successful with a hit, the clay will shatter. Under close supervision of our instructors, the scoring system allows an easy visual as to who is the most accurate shot. Can also be supplied as Laser clay shooting – both indoors and out.

Falconry

This is an ideal opportunity for team members to become falconers for the day, with an experience that they will never forget. This is a great activity to feel birds of prey at first hand, and understand the trust between man and hawk. Accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable falconer, team members will watch their bird fly gracefully, before attempting to land them on their gloved fist.

Horse riding / Pony trekking

This fun team building exercise is designed for riders with little or no riding experience. Our instructors will take them to the riding school where they will be shown the basics of saddling up, mounting, riding and controlling their horses. Once this has been achieved the members will embark on the trek. An experience that all ‘City Slickers’ will remember for a lifetime.

Sheep Dog Handling

An ideal opportunity for the team members to experience at first hand, the traditional art of sheep dog handling. Using only verbal instructions, they have to get mans best friend to guide the flock around a challenging course, before ushering them into the pen. It only takes one straggler to veer off, before the flock have followed. Members experience exceptional senses of achievement with this activity.

Quad Bikes

This activity starts with a briefing on safety, where the riders are shown how to handle the machines, what to avoid doing, and how to get the best out of them. After a practice session, they are then put into race format on the track that allows plenty of overtaking.

4 x 4 Off Road

Under the guidance of an experienced tutor, drivers will tackle the tough and exciting course. Mud pits, lakes, embankments, steep slopes and even steeper drops are all part of the rough terrain course that is extremely challenging. Drivers are taught the finer points of off road driving, and the tutors mark them accordingly.
